Page No 24
The day before yesterday I was traveling from Bangalore to Pune in IndiGo Airlines flight. I was just turning pages of Magzine ‘Hello 6E‘ casually, and when I came at Page No. 24 and I was surprised. I clean my specs and look at it once again and I was like, Wow, It’s Alive!!!
It’s Alive! an Augmented Reality App, Ohhh! not just an app it’s a bunch printed card (25 Markers/ImageTargets) packed in a very attractive box, for INR 390. Developed by ‘Shifu Fusion Game‘ iOS and Android compatible app, which augment the animal printed on a card in a real world with respective sound feedback, mentioned 4D (3D visualization + sound) there in the advertisement)
For a sake of curiosity only I ask the ‘Cabin Crew’ about availability and fortunately it’s available. I bought it for INR 390 and then download the app when I reached in Pune and Just point out Camera towards card and….Booommm!… Huge ‘Dinosaur’ in front of me 🙂
For core ‘Augmented Reality Developer‘ like me it’s not a big thing. It’s just 2 minutes coding in Unity using any AR SDK. But…….
“The Business model used to sell the technology is really impressive”
The Same day early evening I had a discussion with Mr. Arun Ramu regarding the “business scope and opportunities for AR & IoT in Indian local market” and at that time we both are a little bit negative by considering current economic state, the need of automation in proportional with the availability of human resources. But after hardly 6-7 hours the simple add in a magazine, ‘Page No. 24‘ changed my whole perspective.
Technology is really simple, only we are the so-called ‘technology evangelist’ responsible for making it complex in the bribe of more and more money!
“Innovation has nothing to do with how many R&D dollars you have. When Apple came up with the Mac, IBM was spending at least 100 times more on R&D. It’s not about money. It’s about the people you have, how you’re led, and how much you get it”
